Hurricane Ridge Winter Sports Education Foundation respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through hurricaneridge.com, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When you contact us, purchase a product, sign a waiver, or apply for a program, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and the details of your request or purchase.

Waivers may also include a signature, date of birth, and the names of family members covered by the waiver. The Ski and Ride Free application collects parent and child information, school information, and a document used to confirm eligibility. Please provide only the information requested by the applicable form.

Purchases and payments

Our website displays products from Square and lets you prepare a cart. When you proceed to payment, checkout takes place on a Square-hosted page. Square processes your payment information under its own privacy practices. We do not collect or store your full payment card number on this website.

For purchases requiring a waiver, we may retain a reference connecting the signed waiver to the Square order so our staff can verify the purchase and waiver status.

Waivers and program applications

Signed waivers and supporting program documents are stored in restricted areas of our WordPress website. Authorized administrators and designated staff can review them for eligibility, operations, and recordkeeping. A signed waiver PDF may also be emailed to the signer and designated Hurricane Ridge recipients through our configured email provider. Waiver PDFs are not automatically attached to a Square customer profile.

Contact messages and email

Messages submitted through our contact form are saved in a private administrative area and emailed to the appropriate Hurricane Ridge recipient. We use the information to respond to your request. Transactional messages, such as form confirmations, signing links, and waiver copies, may be delivered through our configured email service or authenticated WordPress mail service.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential site and security features may use cookies needed to operate the website. The store also uses browser session storage to remember your cart during your visit.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Our cookie banner lets you Accept or Deny optional analytics cookies. Analytics storage is denied by default. Your choice is saved in a first-party preference cookie for 180 days. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of the site.

When analytics cookies are denied, Google’s Consent Mode may still send limited signals without analytics cookies. Your analytics choice does not necessarily control third-party content embedded on a page, such as a YouTube video; those providers may have their own privacy practices.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the site and provide services, including with our website host, Square for checkout, Google for analytics as described above, and the providers used to deliver email. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the safety and rights of our visitors, staff, or organization. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. This may include responding to inquiries, administering purchases and programs, maintaining waiver and insurance records, meeting accounting or legal requirements, and resolving disputes. Retention may differ by record type and, for a minor’s waiver, may depend on the participant’s age and applicable requirements. We delete or securely dispose of records when they are no longer needed.

Your choices and rights

You may change your optional analytics choice through Cookie settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal, insurance, or operational obligations.

We use access controls and other reasonable measures to protect information submitted through the site. No website or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
