Hurricane Ridge's Olympic Adventure Series.
This fun and informative group experience is designed for youth 13 to 17 and is guaranteed to take your ski and snowboard skills to the next level!
Session 1 Film with the Pro's day. Come and spend the day with Hurricane Ridge local and professional film maker Kurt Jenson and special guests. You will spend the day getting after the best lines for the conditions at the Ridge. You will learn about what it takes to set up the shot, get the best lighting, then get the shot. You will also be getting tips on enhancing your style and improving your performance. You will be stacking clips from the park to the powder to the hidden hits in the woods. But that's not all! We will put together an edited video from the day of you and your crews adventures to remember the day by. You should be an intermediate or better skier or snowboarder for this class.
Session 2 Avalanche Awareness Day. Hurricane Ridge has some of the best, easy access backcountry terrain for skiing and snowboarding in North America. Although not a substitute for formal avalanche training, this class will get you ready to level up in your pursuit of the out of bounds powder experience. We will focus on avalanche beacon training, and rescue as well as avalanche awareness and route finding in avalanche terrain. This class is taught by the Ridge Ski Patrol and Steve Christy from Backcountry Access.
Session 3 Park and Gates. We will spend the day focusing on how to get the best line through a professionally timed slalom course as well as learning new tricks in the Ridge terrain park.
Bonus day 2. Come back for bonus day 2 on Sunday for race day and your chance to win a 25/26 season pass for the best time of the group and a season pass for the best score in the terrain park.
